Code Of Ethics

1. A. Massage Therapy is a healing activity. As a client, you must actively participate. During your session, we wish for you to leave your stresses and worries behind you. Breathe deeply, follow your breath, and feel yourself becoming still and calm. Let yourself relax. For many, this is a new experience!

B. As this is the case, you may request a specific therapist that you have worked with, or who has been recommended to you. If a certain therapist is someone you know and trust, it's your option to request that person again. If that therapist is unavailable, you will be informed, and have the choice of rescheduling, or having another therapist conduct the session.

2. A. Therapists will be attired professionally in scrubs, no matter what the venue. All linens will be cleaned before your session, and our therapists wash their hands before every session. All surfaces are cleaned with disinfectant before and after every session.

B. During your session, you may not lie unclothed over the sheets without draping. All clients must be draped at all times. When you begin, you may disrobe to your undergarments or you may choose to be bare under the linens. Your therapist will leave the room while you are changing, both at the beginning and end of the session.

C. Our services are strictly Therapeutic. You will be worked on by a trained and licensed professional, who has undergone schooling, taken tests, has experience, and is a member of a healthcare professional society. Therapists keep up to date with their licensure requirements by taking continuing education classes. If you are seeking anything other than therapeutic massage, please do not contact us or try to arrange a session.

3. Please communicate verbally before and during your session. If you want more/less pressure, please say so. Also, if you want more time on a certain area, such as a sore back or tired forearms, let us know. If you must use the bathroom, please say so! We can pause for a minute. It's no trouble.

4. We value your time. Your therapist will be at your house on time. If, for any reason, this is not possible, you will be notified. Please be prepared to begin your session when we arrive. Set-up takes only a few minutes, so your session will begin within ten minutes, or so, of our arrival. If you are paying for a one hour session, you will receive exactly one hour of therapeutic massage. Set up time is not counted.

5. Payment may be arranged before a session, when booking, or clients may choose to pay at the time of the session. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, credit cards, and personal cheques. There are no additional fees for different modalities or aromatherapy. There is no obligation for gratuity, though that is certainly your option.

6. A. Feedback is important to us, and helps us learn and improve our services. Please consider providing feedback about your session, after it's over. This should be done both directly to your therapist, as well as to the phone concierge at our main number, or may be left on our web site, if you choose. We want to know how our therapists are doing. This will help us also be better prepared for your next session. Your feedback, as well as any medical information you provide, is strictly confidential.

B. If you've found our services to be helpful, please book again. If you tell your friends or family about our services, we can help those people you care about as well. Most of our clients are referrals. We feel that says something important.

7. A. Every person is a unique individual, with a totally different life history and set of circumstances. We promise to consider each person individually, and to cherish the inherent value of each and every person that we work on. Whether it's a corporate chair massage event, a pre-natal massage, a couples massage, or any other session, we value you equally.

B. We will do our best to help you to leave your session a less stressed, more calm individual, who is less plagued by pain, better prepared to meet your professional, personal, and health and sports training goals. Our goal is to help alleviate suffering, and our company philosophy is based on these aims. We pledge to do all we can, use all our training and experience, to deliver a session that best suits your individual issues as a massage therapy client.
